Great for newborn We purchased two bags of newborn, 7th generation and Huggies pure & natural just to see which would be better before the baby arrived. Compared to 7th generation, Huggies P&N is softer, fit our 6lb baby better, and cord cut out is more accurate and spacious. The pull tabs are smaller to avoid skin contact (unlike 7th gen, which are pretty much full size) You can tell much more thoughts and experience went into Huggies’ design. I guess this is the different between a pure diaper company vs “Generic Green” product company. From our experiences, both diapers absorbed well and have no leakage. We also got some pampers swaddlers from our hospital. To be honest, they fit our LO the best. However, we had one leakage on them and we just can’t stand the fragrance. We stacked them with 7th gen, and the next day, the 7th gen started to smell like pampers! That’s how strong the stuff is! I sure don’t want that on our newborn, 24×7! We still have an unopen pack sitting there…

Design Has Undergone A Recent Change As a mother of 4, I have been a big fan of these diapers with a Subscribe and Save subscription for almost 4 years now, for my youngest two children. I switched to these from Pampers Swaddlers when they decided to thumb their nose at loyal consumers everywhere and mess up their Swaddlers with the DriMax crap. Like thousands of other mothers that year, I quickly left the Swaddlers behind, searched for a product similar to the original Swaddlers and thankfully, quickly found Huggies Pure & Natural. I LOVED these diapers, starting regular use in 2009 not long after Huggies came out with them. They were soft, cushion-y, absorbent, and fragrance-free/semi natural. I’m not really sure exactly how natural or organic they were but it didn’t really matter to me as long as they were fragrance free and didn’t give my newborn a rash. She was and still is one of those kids whose bottoms break out easily. Even now, at almost 4 yrs. old and potty trained, she breaks out in a rash from toilet paper…
