This was so easy to install with the latch. I’ve read reviews before that said that, and I was like, duh. However, this strap is so easy to pull and get incredibly tight. I’m not worried about its safety, and it was just an easy pull. My other seat never used the latch system because it was so difficult to get tight enough that it never felt safe. This does, so I’m happy to finally be able to switch vehicles easily instead of it being a chore. The only thing I absolutely hate is the color. I needed it for a trip this weekend, otherwise I would have gotten the black. The teal is just too obnoxious.Oh, I almost forgot! The pad that comes with this seat is amazing! I bet it’s a nice change. The other seat i had had barely any padding. But this insert is so so cushy. I was practically giddy when I found it in the box lol.

This has been great for my petite 6 year old daughter! She is the size of a 4 year old and has to use newborn pads in other car seats. This one has padding, but it doesn’t get in the way of the buckles like her previous seat did. The straps also work independently and are held very well by their “grow with me” type system, so they don’t become uneven constantly which has been very nice. I LOVE that I can easily adjust her straps now with said system. The head protection is great, since it’s close enough for her to lay her head on and protect her from the side, but doesn’t frustrate her like some seats we’ve tried because they were so close. The only things that frustrate me are the buckle is hard to “click” and release. It needs to be in a just right position, which is sometimes frustrating to find. And, once again, my daughter can’t unbuckle herself (which for some is a great thing), but this seat is even worse than her last one to release.Overall, the pros and cons balance out. I still think it’s a great seat and she absolutely loves it!

We were getting ready to do a big road trip for the holidays and I wanted her to be extra safe. I previously had her in just a booster seat and she learned how to get out of it herself, which upset me greatly. With this car seat I feel much safer and have peace of mind that my daughter will not get injured in case of a crash. I’m also very happy that the seat will recline so her head does not slam forward during red lights. An older Grayco car seat I have for my son does not have this feature.

I love Graco products. I currently have (including this purchase) 2 of the Graco Tranzitions seats and a Graco Size4Me. If you child is old enough to be forward facing (at LEAST 2 years old), these seats are great. I will say, if your child is on the smaller side, definitely use the extra cushion that comes with the seat. My 3yr old son is slightly too small for this seat. Even when it is tightened up well, he can wiggle side to side. He is normally in the Size4Me which is great, but on occasion he uses the Tranzitions. The other children who use the Tranzitions seats are average size 3 year olds and it fits them well without the cushion. My little petite guy still needs the added support from the cushion.Excellent seat, slimmer than most. I have it in the 2nd row, middle seat of my Honda Odyssey (with the wide mode seats set up) and I can easily slide the 2 side seats forward to access the other 2 seats in the 3rd row. This is not something I can easily do with the Size4Me in the same position.I would buy this seat again and again and would recommend to my friends!

When my son finished Pre-K he begged, BEGGED, begged to move to a booster seat. I purchased a Britax Highpoint high back booster to move him to, which we like quite a bit, but after a few weeks in the booster we realized he wasn’t behaviorally ready to be unharnessed. Instead of putting him back in his “baby seat” we decided to go with the Tranzitions and introduce it as a training booster. After a few months he asked again to try the booster and we removed the straps, but again felt he wasn’t ready behaviorally and put them back on. Sometimes knowing if a child is ready can only be determined by seeing them in action, and I appreciate how easy it is to convert this seat from car seat to booster in a couple of minutes. I also feel like my very average sized 5 year old fits more comfortably in this seat than his previous convertible car seat.

We have two kids in five point booster seats. One is in this Graco and another is in a Britax. The first booster seat we purchased was the Britax Pioneer for $184. The seat is just okay. My main issues with the Britax is it’s a pain to install and the pull strap is difficult to get appropriately tight. I feel like I am playing tug of war with a gorilla trying to get this tightened. I expected more for the price from the Britax. The second booster we purchased was this Graco for half the price at $89. It is so refreshingly easy to install using the clips and it easily tightened to fit securely in the vehicle. The other positive aspect of this seat is it’s easier to clip the harness together and it pulls tight in one smooth pull. There is no unnecessary resistance when pulling the strap tight. The Graco booster is also softer and appears more comfortable.Despite my initial reluctance to order the less expensive Graco booster, this is a far better product than the more expensive Britax. Five stars to Graco for making this superior five point booster.

Needed a 5pt harness booster seat for a 54 pound 6 year old – this seat fits him perfectly! There’s plenty of room for him to grow! I’m guessing size wise he will be able to use this booster seat until he is 8 if needed! It is that big! My little one likes to unbuckle himself while I am driving so a harness booster is still necessary. We previously had the Graco Nautilus LX seat but it was getting small and I couldn’t snap the bottom buckles between his legs without it pinching. It was a great seat but we had to replace it due to an accident. It held up great and protected him. This new seat is so much better though for his size and comfort. I am so glad I took a chance on this seat! If these companies would make a 5 pt harness booster seat for bigger kids (like up to 100 pounds) I know many parents who would buy one! Please Graco take the lead on this!!! Some kids just won’t stay buckled and require the harness.Just ordered a second tranzitions seat for our other vehicle, that’s how great it is!

This is the second one I bought. I tried another brand but returned it for this one. The features I love over its competitor:1. Crotch space. Theres probably a good 2 inches more space then its competitor. I dont worry about pinching their legs in this seat.2. Easy of back removal. Anyone can remove the back, it’s very simple. I dont need a gym membership to do it. The competitors seat was nearly impossible, even for my husband to do.3. Narrower base. I can fit 3 across in my Murano.4. All the clips have a spot to attach to the seat when not in use. Organization built in.5. Seat material holds up SO GOOD! Like I said, this is my second one. The first one is well over a year old and it still looks new! I had the competitors seat for 2 days and the velcro on my 4yos shoes started to tear up the fabric immediately.6. Priced competitively! I paid $10 more dollars for this one over the competitors seat and it is SO worth it!

Likes: compact, so it takes up less room in the back which is nice, easy to install, easy to remove(switching to diff car), easy to clean and wash. 5 point harness which was one of the biggest reasons i purchased this carseat.Dislikes: Not roomy enough!! For reference my son is 5yrs, weights around 55lbs. He fits perfect, the straps fit on perfect but its the carseat in general that is small and compac for his comfort. The bottom buckle by the crotch isnt long enough, now my son hates buckling the bottom as he has to sit straight up and doesnt feel comfty and that there is enough room. The headrest isnt big enonugh. sometimes my son complains of neck pain as there is lack of support when he falls asleep (we had no problems with his last carseat but of course that was his baby one he outgrew and the headrest was big enough).Personally i dont feel theere is enough padding for your children to feel comfortable but that is just personal opinion.I bought an old/used Britax Frontier and i think the equivalent is the “grow with you” and i will deff be purchasing that one for my son for daily use. and i will use the graco for backup or quicck trips in other cars.OVERALL: i do like the carseat. it isn’t my favourite. i doubt i would ever purchase it again, but i’m not disappointed. i just wish it was roomier like other carseats i’ve seen.

We’ve only owned this car seat for less than a month. We got in an accident yesterday and the woman hit us right by my daughters door I’d guess going about 45 mph. They both have yet to complain of any soreness unlike my husband and I. I had read so many great reviews on this seat before purchasing and I am a crazy car seat person so naturally my kids know how anal I am about having straps properly positioned, tightened, chest clip at proper height that I jumped out of the car after they said they were fine and ran to the other persons car because I had faith in their car seats to keep them safe. Here I am a month later to buy two more seats. Now as far as the seat itself goes it’s very slender which was the main reason I got it because my husbands car is pretty small. They liked how the cup holders were built into the bottom base of the seat and the small armrest which I wasn’t anticipating. One feature they miss that our other car seats have is a foot extender to rest their legs. I’ve heard a safe method to create that comfort is to buy those foam coolers from the gas station since they are so light in an accident they shouldn’t do harm and provides a place for their feet to rest.
